HOODIE ALLEN 101
In the past two years, Steven Markowitz has careened from being a student at Penn's Wharton School of Business, through a stint at Google, to his current ascent through the musical world as Hoodie Allen, self-made rapper and musical artist. The clever wit, grinding intensity, and boisterous enthusiasm that Hoodie relied on to chart this dramatic career path all became hallmarks of his music, an energetic blend of hip-hop, pop, and electronic elements. And his combination of musical prowess and business acumen is paying off: only a few years since beginning the latest phase of his life, Hoodie has garnered millions of YouTube Views, has rocked sold out shows around the country next to some of the nation's hottest acts, and earned himself the #1 spot on iTunes' album charts with is 2012 EP "All American."
